Born on Feb. 4, 1913, this year would have been Rosa Parks’ 100th birthday.
On Dec. 1, 1955, Parks refused to give up her seat to a white passenger on a city bus in Montgomery, Alabama. This led to a 13-month boycott of the Montgomery bus system that would help spark the civil rights movement.
Recently President Barack Obama visited the bus that Rosa Parks sat in.
February is Black History Month. Have you seen some displays around campus?
Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something.
ReplyDeleteI think that you can do with a few pics to drive the message home a little bit, but other than that,
this is excellent blog. An excellent read. I will certainly be back.
